Job Status: 6-month fixed term initially, potential to become permanent
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week (may consider 30 hours)

Salary Scale: £14,000-£15,000 (full-time would be £28,000-£30,000)
Location: The college has two bases in Headingley, Leeds
This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive Leeds-based charity which is developing and delivering an innovative internship programme for young people who are autistic or have mild to moderate learning disabilities.
The college has doubled in size in the past 18 months and we have identified a need to improve some of our policies, procedures and processes. We are looking for an experienced project/programme manager to work closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to identify and implement key changes and improvements that will help us become even more efficient and effective.

Job purpose
Responsibility for helping to ensure the smooth running of a busy college by reviewing and improving current systems and processes.
Support the development and delivery of specific funded programmes that the charity delivers.
Support the project management aspects of the work of the Senior Leadership Team (CEO; Operations Director; Head of Internships; Finance Manager).
Principal Responsibilities
Risk, Health and Safety
- Review of all health and safety policies and procedures across both sites
- Updating of health and safety handbooks
- Review of risk assessment framework and individual assessments for trips & visits
- Development of existing Emergency Plan and procedures, including evacuation and invacuation
- Review of COSHH assessments and related procedures
- Streamlining of accident and incident procedures and processes
GDPR Policies & Procedures
- Review all aspects of the college's Information Governance framework
- Review existing organisation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GDPR
- Update information asset register (IAR), including identifying asset owners and ensuring data controller sharing agreements (ISAs) have been identified
- Ensure Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) are built into project frameworks and that effective tracking system is in place
- Manage & maintain Contracts Register
- Review Records Management Policy and processes, including record retention and disposal processes
- Update Information Security incident policy and procedures
Develop College premises
- Undertake review of current premises to identify areas for development, seek quotes, appoint sub-contractors and manage work programmes
- Lead on plans for new-build on site including: identify room requirements; consulting with students, staff and other stakeholders; supporting work of professionals to draw up plans; support process of applying for planning permission; issue and review tenders for building work.
Procedures and Processes
- Develop and implement effective administrative systems across the charity including identifying how technology could be better used to improve efficiency.
- Review use of 3rd party systems used to gather and monitor data and ensure they are used to maximum effectiveness (including Arbor, Staffsafe, Educare).
- Roll-out implementation of Smoothwall (IT security software).
- Design & implement system(s) for tracking actions and measuring KPI’s.
- Review all staff and student-related policies and create audit mechanism to track compliance.
Other
- Contribute towards building and developing a positive culture and ethos within the charity including positive team working and collaboration amongst all staff.
- Act with honesty and integrity and uphold the values of the charity (pioneering, compassionate, person-focused, un-stoppable, authentic).
- Maintain high standards in attendance and punctuality with good, personal time management skills.
- Ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed at all times including (but not exclusively) Health and Safety and Safeguarding.
- Take opportunities to continuously learn and grow with a willingness to attend and participate in relevant meetings/professional development opportunities as appropriate.
- Be flexible and work according to needs, performing any reasonable duties as requested by the Line Manager which may involve assisting other areas which are commensurate with the grading of the post.
