Sen Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working SEN Teaching Assistant for one of our partner schools based in Leeds.

Role:

We require someone who is compassionate with a firm but fair approach.

We need someone with strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong trusting relationships with both students and parents.

You will need a collaborative approach to work and work well as part of a team and on a 1:1 Basis.

Responsibilities:

• Work with smaller groups of students

• Make sure classrooms are a safe and tidy space before the school day starts

• Provide support to students who have emotional & mental health needs.

• Help students adjust, learn and socialize and report to teachers about possible behavioural issues

Requirements:

• Experience of working within a SEN Setting, prefrably with behavoural issues.

• Familiarity with school administrative tasks and learning methods

• Great communication and excellent organisational skills

• Firm but kind and caring personality

• The ability to build a trusting relationship with students, teachers and parents

• Teaching Assistant Qualification (or expe)
