Financial Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are currently working in partnership with one of the top employers across Yorkshire to help them appoint an Financial Accountant into their team. This is a business that has international presence, with a centralised Shared Service Centre in Leeds, large group Finance team with lots of future opportunity to accelerate your career.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering and preparing Group management accounts at month and year end
• Preparation of Statutory Accounts for a variety of group entities under both FRS and IFRS
• Preparation and completion of core balance sheet reconciliations and controls
• Ensure delivery of month end Group results providing comprehensive analysis, reporting and raising any issues where appropriate
• Full ownership of Balance Sheet, ensuring all balances are validated.
• Strong monthly focus on Fixed Assets and valuations
• Liaison with all areas of finance as appropriate
• Be a key member of the audit and work closely with the external auditors
• Statutory Accounts preparation from TB through to word document
• Preparation of monthly results pack, quarterly Financial Management Accounts, balance sheet summary
• Balance Sheet reporting, reconciliations and controls specifically debt and provisions
• Ensure all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts fully reconciled appropriately
• Ensure all monthly journals are authorized and posted
• Reconcile and maintain key balance accounts, including Fixed Assets, debtors, accruals, prepayments, provisions etc
• Continuous process improvement of current processes
• Active involvement in finance projects
